Here is what some recent volunteers have said about their time with Fish Legal:

I volunteered at Fish Legal because I wanted to contribute some of my time to preserving our rivers and fisheries. I also wanted to experience areas of law I had not had the opportunity to work in during my training contract, and to learn about how the law could help solve challenges facing our rivers and inland fisheries.

My time volunteering at Fish Legal fulfilled those goals. I researched new and interesting areas of case law and policy, and gained a much better understanding of how I can help preserve the environment I enjoy.

BSc (Hons), GDL, LPC LLM. David is a Master of Laws graduate from The University of Law with an interest in environmental law.

What attracted me to volunteer with Fish Legal is the relatively unsung work Fish Legal does for the protection of anglers, rivers and the coast – truly valuable work. In the age of concrete, skyscrapers and tarmac it is nice to know that Fish Legal is doing its best to change perception and where required taking action on behalf of our countryside.

I was drawn to volunteer with Fish Legal as I felt that it would be a great opportunity to bolster my University applications. I was extremely grateful for the opportunity to undertake challenging work that offered a valuable insight into the work of a legal professional. At the time, I was still on the fence about whether a career in law was what I wished to pursue, and so the interesting and demanding work that I undertook confirmed that it was the right choice. It has also been an invaluable tool when applying for work and University.
