Fish Legal has raised further concerns about the proposed tidal lagoon in Swansea Bay and called on the government to reject it.

Mark Lloyd, Chief Executive of Fish Legal and Angling Trust, has written to the Minister for Energy and Industry, Richard Harrington MP, demonstrating that risks remain unaddressed.

In the letter, Fish Legal concur with Prof. Dieter Helm’s recent ‘Cost of Energy Review’ to argue that the proposal for the heavily subsidised tidal lagoon should be rejected for failure to demonstrate that it would be a better alternative, both environmentally and economically, than other renewables technologies.
